Redfield Ford has officially re-opened. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thurs., Oct. 10th. On hand were Toby Doeden, President and Josie Bielke, Vice President of Business Development for the Doeden Investment Group; Redfield Ford employees; and Director Kim Leonhardt, President Jill Tomsha, and Secretary/Treasurer Parish Mechling, of the Redfield Chamber of Commerce.
Optimism was in the air. Employees said that they were excited for the re-opening under new ownership. Biedenfeld said that he had worked for the dealership previously, and had recently come back to work under Doeden’s group.
When asked about the outlook, Doeden said “We’re going to sell a lot more cars.” He stated that in Aug. and Sept., they’d sold more cars than had been sold monthly within the last 5 years. Employees agreed that they had seen more business in the last 2 months.
The importance of the local connection was spoken of. Doeden said that Redfield Ford was priced competitively with other Ford dealerships. “People would rather buy from their local dealer.” he said. “But all too often, we see local dealers take those customers for granted and expect them to pay more. Well, we don’t. We’re still gonna be competitive, so we don’t expect you to pay more just because you’re buying it
