   Deborah "Deb" Lynn (Kennedy) Lee, 70, of Redfield, SD, passed away Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora, NE. 

   Services will take place on Tuesday, July 23rd, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  Pastor Melissa Rowenhorst will officiate.  Inurnment will be at a later date.

   Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home (www.hykefuneralhome.com). 

   Deborah was born in Grand Forks, MN on January 1st, 1954, to MaryAnn (Blanchard) and Paul Kennedy.  In 1964, her family moved to Marshall, MN.  In 1972, she graduated from Marshall High and was married to Michael Lee on November 4th.  Mike and Deb purchased their first bakery in Minneota, MN.  In December of 1975, they welcomed their first daughter, Lora, into the world.  Deb had brain surgery in 1978. In January of 1980, they welcomed their 2nd daughter, Holly, into the world.  In June of 1982, her little family moved to Redfield, SD.  They owned The Bread Box there for 35 years.  In 1983, Deb became a Girl Scout leader and stayed very involved with the Girl Scout community until November of 2023. She also worked at SDDC in Redfield until she retired in 2018. Deb’s first love was her family.  Her second love was Girl Scouts.  She immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

   She has left behind a lot of loved ones starting with her husband Michael Lee; her 2 daughters: Lora (Matt) Winter and Holly Lee; her 7 grandchildren:  Jessica (Kota) Lyons, Davianna Bock, Kennedy Lee, Isabella Winter, Cadyn Lee, and Luke, Josh and Oliver Romanski; and her 4 great grandkids, Tyler Lee, Cooper Lyons, Monte Lyons and Addilynn Lee.  She is also survived by her little brothers: Michael (JoAnn) Kennedy, Brian (Glenda) Kennedy, and Kevin Kennedy; her sister-in-law Janelle Kennedy; and many nieces and nephews.

   Deb has joined her parents Maryann and Paul Kennedy, her sister Lori Ann Heilmann, her brother Douglas Kennedy, her grandson Sage Lee, and her beloved puppy Tinkerbell, in their forever Heavenly home.
