The Frankfort Ringnecks started their new 4-H year with four new members and a number of community service projects. In November, members donated their time to fill bags with food for the nutrition mission program. The club also visited the Good Samaritan Center, in Redfield, with Thanksgiving meal donations. One of the club’s favorite projects is their soup making day. Members meet with soup ingredients in hand and make a warm meal that is then delivered to people in the community. A special “thank-you” to Leo’s Good Food for donating supplies again this year! The club also did a painting project day while the soup was cooking. The club will be decorating a tree at the Spink Co. Courthouse so be sure to stop and see it. Donations for the Beadle Co. Humane Society will be collected at the base of the tree and be delivered at the end of the season.
