Richard “Dick” Miller, 84, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls. Memorial visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Richard “Dick” Miller, son of James and Eleanora (Suhl) Miller was born July 17, 1940, in Flandreau, South Dakota. The family moved to Sioux Falls shortly after he was born. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1958. On July 3, 1960, he was united in marriage to Deanna Keller in Redfield, South Dakota. Dick dedicated many years working for Thelan Oil, I-90 Services and several others before his retirement in 2007.
Dick and Deanna enjoyed many trips out to the Black Hills and attending several Sturgis Rallies. In his younger years he enjoyed racing at Husets which flowed into his love of watching NASCAR later in life. He also enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dawn (Bodie) Walker of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Jeremy Granflaten of Waukee, IA, Shelbie (Matthew) Gude of Dell Rapids, SD, and Cordell (Candice) Walker of Sioux Falls; great grandchildren, Addison and Colter; and sister-in-law, Doris Miller of Brandon;
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eleanora; wife, Deanna; and brother, Robert Miller.
