HURON — A 31-year-old man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in Huron.

The man's name has not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the man, who was driving a 2007 Honda motorcycle, was traveling northbound on Westpark Avenue when his motorcycle left the roadway, entering the east ditch. He was separated from the motorcycle. The motorcycle then caught on fire. The man died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was wearing a helmet.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
