[REDFIELD, SD] — [02/04/25] — A delightful new micro bakery is set to open its doors to the community this March, offering fresh, homemade treats straight from the heart—and the home—of Mary and Mike Zis. Lovebirds Bakery, a charming home-based bakery, will feature a delectable array of baked goods, perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth or craving for fresh-baked bread.
Mary and Mike, the husband-and-wife duo behind Lovebirds Bakery, share a passion for baking that inspired them to turn their dream into a reality. “We’ve always loved baking together,” says Mary. “There’s something special about creating something from scratch and sharing it with the people around you. We wanted to bring that warmth and joy to our community.”
Lovebirds Bakery is a micro bakery, meaning it operates on a smaller scale, focusing on quality over quantity. Orders are placed online, and customers can pick up their fresh treats from the Zis’ cozy home porch during designated times. This unique model helps reduce waste by ensuring that every item baked is made to order.
The menu at Lovebirds Bakery will feature a variety of mouthwatering options, including fresh breads, pastries, turnovers, brownies, and more. Donut enthusiasts will be thrilled to discover a selection of 30 different donuts, offering a wide range of flavors and styles to satisfy every preference.
In addition to their regular offerings, Lovebirds Bakery is introducing Friday and Saturday evening cookie drops, just like those famous late-night cookie spots. These special drops will feature freshly baked, gourmet cookies with unique flavors and decadent ingredients—perfect for an evening treat.
