Beat the winter chill and enjoy a movie at the new underground theater at the Amaris Inn on the east side of Redfield. The theater was recently opened, in December. Laura Viall, owner, along with her daughter Rhianna and son-in-law Ryan are excited to offer this new entertainment option to the community. The theater features a 98” high-definition screen with a quality sound system that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your seat. A wide assortment of concessions consisting of popcorn, drinks and candy are available. Flexible seating options include children’s and adult-sized seating, with a capacity of 36 guests. Tickets can be purchased at the concession stand on the north side of the Inn for a reasonable rate of $6, or you may purchase an $8 ticket and receive popcorn and a drink with your seat. Moviegoers have been giving rave reviews on the new theater - and birthday party packages have been particularly popular! Two movies are offered each week, with various showings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned and follow the Amaris Inn Facebook page, the weekly edition of the Redfield Press, or the City of Redfield’s website community calendar for show listings.
The Viall family purchased the Amaris Inn in the summer of 2024. They have concentrated their efforts on featuring some new amenities in the 24-room motel. These include mini refrigerators, coffee makers, Wi-Fi and Roku tvs. Additionally, they have plans to offer an outdoor theater in the future. The Vialls moved from Arizona and are happy to be in South Dakota. They’ve been enjoying their new endeavor, and they look forward to serving travelers and community residents to meet their lodging and entertainment needs.
