Jeanette (Robertson) Kaufman, age 87, of Clark, SD, formerly of Doland, SD, died at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Saturday, December 21, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3-5 PM at Furness Funeral Home at Clark.
Jeanette’s funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Clark United Methodist Church in Clark with Pastor Rob Salmonson officiating. Lunch and fellowship will follow in the church hall. After fellowship, burial will follow in the Doland Cemetery in Doland, SD.

Jeanette was born to Clinton and Winifred (Board) Robertson at the farm in Raymond. She went to elementary school at Logan Country School south of Raymond. She attended High School in Doland graduating in 1955. Jeanette met Leonard Kaufman during her senior year, and they were married in the Doland Methodist Church on November 20, 1955. They started farming south of Doland and farmed there for 38 years. They had 4 children: Judy, Sheryl, Terry, and Barry. Jeanette enjoyed watching her children in all their activities and was a 4-H Leader for many years. She was an active member of the Doland Methodist Church, Methodist Women, and Ladies Aid. She worked for several years at the Huron Clinic as an Aide to Dr. Helen Buchanan and ran a Ceramic shop and laundromat in Doland.
In 1993 they moved to Clark where she worked at several places before retirement. She enjoyed all sports, quilting, gardening and was a great baker and cook. She loved going to all the activities of her grandchildren, being a member of the Clark Methodist Church, fishing and going to the Black Hills.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Leonard in 2015, her parents Winifred and Clinton, brother Dallas and infant twin boys.
Grateful for having shared in her life are Judy (Reid) Mayer Frankfort, Sheryl Swaby, Spearfish, Terry (Lori King) Clark, Barry (Pamala) Rapid City. Ten Grandchildren Heidi (Troy) Kruse, Matthew (Tiffany) Mayer, Mollie (Jim) Lieffort, Jay (Erika Kling) Swaby, Jennifer (Adrian) Netterberg, Joshua (Elaine Ortiz) Swaby, Charlie (Carrie) Kaufman, Ashley (Eric) Knight, Kim (Johan) Wolkesson, Lexy (Jared Hannon) Kaufman. Nine Great Grandchildren Miriam and Seth Kruse, Emery and Talan Lieffort, Eli, Graham and Dalton Netterberg, Stetson Mayer, Colt Kaufman.
