On Thursday, October 25th, at 5p.m., a dozen people gathered on the steps of the Redfield Carnegie Library to begin the annual Candlelight Walk in honor of those who have lost their lives to domestic abuse and those who have lived through it. Each participant received a candle and purple ribbon to honor victims. The walk began at the library and ended at the Redfield Crisis Center. Those who participated were grateful for the pleasant weather, which remained at 60 degrees Fahrenheit. After arriving at the Crisis Center, Penny Ihnen gave participants a tour of the home and Janelle Fortin offered hot chocolate and cookies to all.
