On Sat., April 5th, Redfield Armory was filled with happy noise and plastic eggs for Redfield Discovery Program’s egg hunt. The Easter egg hunt was moved indoors due to weather. The crowd didn’t seem to mind. Jordann Hansen counted 108 kids and their families at the event.
The gym floor was filled with eggs, which contained candy. “The Eastern Star Home residents were a huge help in filling all 2,300 eggs.” Hansen said. After the event, plastic bins were filled with the eggs that had been emptied of candy. The Easter bunny was on hand for the event. A few special prizes were given out.
The egg hunt was put together by Redfield Discovery Program, James River Republican Women, Redfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Modern Woodmen, The Shop, and Eastern Star Home. “This is a volunteer-run program. We appreciate all who come out to help and to support the success of this program.” Hansen said.
There will be more events coming up. Hansen said “We will be hosting 4 fun nights in the park for families that have children from birth to the age of 10. Dates and updates will be posted on the Redfield Discovery Facebook page.
