   Deloris S. Conrade, 91, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Fountain Springs Healthcare in Rapid City, SD.

    Deloris was born March 15, 1932, to John and Anna Stemper in Zell, SD, and grew up on a farm near Zell.  She graduated from St. Mary’s school in Zell, Mount Marty school in Yankton, SD, and nurses training in Huron SD.

    Deloris married Aloysius (Bud) Conrade in Zell, SD on November, 29, 1952.  They eventually settled in Redfield, SD and raised four children, Larry, Pat, Jody, and Chris.  She worked for many years at Dakota Hatchery and Mill in Redfield and when she retired was working in the office.

    After retirement Bud and Deloris spent much time traveling, visiting friends and family.  In 1999, they moved to Rapid City, SD.  They enjoyed hosting visitors and had an annual Super Bowl party.  After Bud died in 2014, she moved into Holiday Hills retirement community.  She really enjoyed the community and loved having someone else cook for her.

    Deloris loved to cook especially for family and friends and will be remembered as a loving Mother and Grandmother.  She enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings on TV.  Faith was a central part of her life and she was a long time member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Redfield and Blessed Sacrament in Rapid City.  She was also a long time member of Catholic Daughters.  

    Survivors include her brother James (Shari), Redfield, sons, Pat (Anna) Harrisburg, Chris, Loveland, CO, two grandchildren, Tena (Carlos) Martinez, Salt Lake City, UT, and Jacob (Jessica), Aberdeen, and seven great-grandchildren.

    Deloris was preceded in death by Bud, Jody and Larry, her parents, and brothers Greg, Douglas, and John, and her sister Loretta.

    Bud and Deloris will be reunited at Black Hills National Cemetery.
