CHRIS A. BYRUM 

 

   The visitation for Chris A. Byrum, 58, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 10:00am-1:00pm, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home. A prayer service will follow at 1:00pm, with Pastor Adrian Timmons officiating. Chris died Friday, October 27, 2023, at home.

   Chris was born in Denver, CO, to Martha and Richard Byrum, on February 22,1965. He moved to Merriman, NE. He then moved to Aberdeen, SD in 1995. In 2002 he met his wife Rose Knudsen, and they got married on July 3, 2011. Rose had two sons and Chris considered them his kids. Chris and Rose were married for 12 years.

   Chris was in the Air Force for about three years. After he moved to Aberdeen, SD he worked for Cardinal Tools and Beadle's floral. He worked at 3M up until the end.

   One of Chris’ hobbies that he liked to do was fishing. He taught so many people how to fish, including his three step grandsons. He also liked to hunt. Chris loved to ride his motorcycle; he would ride his motorcycle all year if he could. He also loved to spend as much time as he could with family, especially with his step grandsons.

   Chris’s surviving family members are his mother Martha Byrum of Redfield SD; his wife Rose Byrum of Aberdeen SD; his two stepsons: Kurtis (Sierra) Knudsen of Watertown, SD and Anthony (Angela Bader) Knudsen of Aberdeen, SD; his step grandsons: Bentley, Henry, and Braylin; his siblings: Dawn (Joe) McCall of Ainsworth, NE, Brian Byrum of Cozad, NE, Valerie (Fred) Hruska of Fremont, NE, Holly (Donald) Landreth of Gordon, NE, and Lonnie (Cathy) Bales of Redfield, SD; many nieces, nephews, great nephews, and much more family.

   He was proceeded in death with welcoming arms from his dad Richard Byrum.
