Betty Jo Keiser 96 of Apple Valley,CA passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023.

   Betty Jo was the youngest of five children born to George and Mary (Roos) Roeber January 26, 1927 in Tulare South Dakota. She attended country school and graduated in 1945 from Redfield high school.               

   She married John Keiser in 1947 and they moved to San Fernando where she taught kindergarten and first grade for 20 years.They had four children, Robert, Thomas, Teri, and Steve.  

Her and John retired in Fillmore where they had an orchard of avocados, oranges and lemons. They moved to Apple Valley in 2005 to be closer to family.              .

   Betty Jo was an artist. She took painting classes and entered  her paintings in the San Bernardino County Fair, where she won multiple ribbons. 

Betty Jo loved her role as exercise instructor at the Apple Valley Senior Center, where she taught for many years,

   Betty Jo kept busy playing bridge with her friends, and gardening.

   She enjoyed swimming in her pool and family barbecues.

   Betty Jo is survived by her sons Robert and Thomas, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, daughter Teri, and son Steve.        

   Services will be held on October 6, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at  Our Lady of the Desert in Apple Valley, CA

She will be laid to rest next to her husband John n Riverside National Cemetery.
