David Mendel (Right), Commander of American Legion Post 69 in Doland, SD
greets Brett P. Reistad, National Commander of The American Legion in Doland
on November 5th.  Reistad was visiting Legionnaires across the state to

thank them for their efforts in supporting Veterans causes as well as to
promote the celebration of the centennial birthday of the American Legion.
The American Legion was established in Paris, France five months after the
World War I Armistice was signed on November 11, 1918.
