Clay Kiser Unit 92 nominee was Marlene Eimers, Redfield. Marlene was then selected as District 4 representative to the state level. At the State Convention in June Marlene was chosen to represent South Dakota as Auxiliary Unit Member of the Year.

The Unit Member of the Year award recognizes those serving at the unit level who exemplify the values and ideals of the Auxiliary and whose accomplishments significantly impact the programs in their units. The award is open to senior members.

Units submitted a narrative to their district describing the nominee’s accomplishments and activities. A unit member was chosen to represent the district at the state level.
The Department Unit Member of the Year will receive four days meal allowance and three days room allowance in addition to their round-trip airfare, and registration fees to the National Convention. This year’s national convention will be held in New Orleans, August 24 through August 28.
