Wildcats sweep Patriots 3-0

BOWDLE, SD – Northwestern finished the season in high style sweeping Eureka-Bowdle 3-0 in a final Lake Region Conference volleyball match-up.  The Wildcats enter Region 1B as the top-seeded team, and will host its first round match on October 30th at 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen Civic Arena.
Northwestern tallied 16 service aces, led by Tya Weideman with six and four from Moira Duncan. 
Senior Riley Grandpre led the attack for the Wildcats with 12 kills converting on 19-19 attack attempts, while Madalyn Groft and Sydney Schell each added 7 kills. Groft set up the offense for the Wildcats with 28 assists.
Defensively, Weideman and Groft led the Wildcats with 16 and 13 digs respectively.
