Weather report: Spink County receives ample rainfall

A flood warning continues for the James River at Ashton. As of 8:45 a.m. Monday, June 15th, the stage was 15.4 feet, up .2 from last report. As of 8:46 a.m. Monday, June 22nd, the stage was 14.6 feet, down .8 from last report. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The forecast is that the river will remain mostly steady. At 17.5 feet the water reaches the bottom of the bridge two miles north of the gauge.
