Huron was the HOT spot for Softball this weekend!
Four teams from the Redfield area participated in the South Dakota State Softball Tournament in Huron this weekend. They were Redfield in the 10U, Fireballers in the 12U, Frankfort Extremes in the 16U and the Aftershock in the 18U. The Redfield area had a stellar showing as all 4 on the teams placed. The 18U Aftershock finished the tournament in 4th place. The 10U girls battled to take 3rd place. The 16U Frankfort Extreme played a great tournament only to lost a heartbreaker in the final game which went extra innings against the Elite Team from Watertown 16-15. And the 12U Fireballs went an impressive 7 wins and only 1 loss to become the 12U South Dakota State Champions. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS should go out to all the players and coaches for all the hard work and playing in the stifling heat this weekend. We are all very proud of the accomplishments and the character the girls showed in victory and defeat.
