Redfield School — Classes will begin Sept. 3rd in Redfield. Projected enrollment is 580 students in grades K-12.

New staff members include: George Seiler, superintendent; Nancy Blume, Kindergarten teacher; Kim Borkowski, high school science; Jessica Brooke, high school English; Robb Erickson, middle school social science; Tonja Jungwirth, school psychologist intern; Joe Olivier, high school social science; Jody Rosalind, K-12 vocal music; Eric Stevens, K-5 counselor; Chance torrence, high school science; and Briana Wager, SPED teacher.

Doland School —Classes will begin on Aug. 27th in Doland. Projected enrollment is 153 students (for a four-day school week).

New staff includes Dustin Riedel, grades 8-12 math.

The Doland School is in the process of remodeling and building a new addition to the school. The remodel of the elementary wing is on schedule to be completed by the start of the school year. They will use those rooms as class rooms until the new addition is complete. The preschool and library will be moved off campus.

The district is also entering a new sports cooperative with Iroquois. Doland’s FFA class will also be getting a new plasma table.

Hitchcock-Tulare School — Classes began on Aug. 19th in the Hitchcock-Tulare School District with a projected enrollment of 237 students in grades K-12.

The junior high and high school classes are held in Tulare while elementary students are in the Hitchcock location. Hitchcock-Tulare also has teachers at the Glendale Colony School and Spink Colony School.

New staff members include Tracy Boomsma, Title I; Hannah Glanzer, elementary special education; and Brandi Hanson, elementary para-professional.

The Hitchcock-Tulare school district just installed new Promethean Boards in their classrooms.( Promethean boards are a specific brand of interactive technological white boards that allows teachers to project an image form their laptop or computer and interact with the board through touch or specialized pens.)

Northwestern School — Northwestern Area School District’s first day of school was yesterday, August 20th.

Current enrollment is up to 307 students in Pre-K through 12th grade, an increase in 27 students from last year.

New staff this year at Northwestern include Mrs. Jessica Cihak, Vocal Music; Mrs. Andrea Christianson, Special Education; Miss Elizabeth Fuchs, Custodial; Mrs. Megan Rozell, first grade teacher.
