The 'Socktober' event hosted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol on the evening of October 31st in the old Shopko parking lot had a tremendous turnout. People donated socks, coats, gloves, mittens, hats, boots, and coveralls for those in need this winter. The donations were brought to the Family Crisis Center and will be divided up with the Good Samaritan Center for distribution. Shown with the items donated are South Dakota Highway Patrol Officers John Marnette and Joelle Schuknecht. Thank you to the South Dakota Highway Patrol for sponsoring this event!
