Featuring RHS senior: Jayde O'Daniel

Q: What are some of your hobbies and interests?
Some of my favorite hobbies include rifle and archery season. I also like to do arts and crafts with my family,
we try to do a craft night every month.
I really enjoy going home after school and spending time with all my farm animals.

Q:  Are you involved in any clubs, organizations or extracurricular activities? If so, what?
Through my high school career I have been involved in SADD, Chorus, FFA, Track, CCD, FCCLA,
 High school plays, volunteer soccer coaching, and Student Council.

Q:  Can you tell us a little about your family?
I am the daughter of Tonya and Darren O’Daniel and I have one older sibling named Ashlyn.

Q:  Favorite color ? Favorite season?
My favorite color is baby blue, and my favorite season is fall.

Q:  What are some "words of wisdom" you live by?
"Accept what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be."


Q:  What would the perfect day look like to you? (Describe.)
The perfect day would be sitting on the beach with my family just enjoying each other’s company.

Q:  If you could sit down with anyone from the past or present and have a conversation, who would it be ? What kind of conversation would you have?
I would want to have a conversation with Shane Dawson.
I’m not really sure what we would talk, about but I know there would be a lot of laughing involved.

Q:  What is one of your biggest goals in life?
My biggest goal in life is just to be happy, life changes, things happen, and I just want to be able to roll with it.

Q:  What kind of music do you like ? What is your all-time favorite song?
I love all music but, I would have to say "She will be loved" by Maroon 5 is my favorite song.

Q:  What sports are you involved in ?
Sports, what’s that?

Q:  What do you plan to do after high school ? What career are you interested in?
I Plan to go to Black Hills State University to major in human services.

Q:  What advice would you give to those just entering their high school years?
Try new things.It’s ok to quit when the seasons done but keep adventuring out and trying new clubs
until you find what you really like.

Q:  What are some things you have learned that you will take with you as you graduate high school?
Communication skills is definately something I learned through my high school career.
Sometimes you have to approach people in different ways to get the point across.

Q:  What is one of your favorite memories growing up or in high school?
My favorite thing about going to Redfield has always been the teachers.
They have all been a part of helping me grow into the person I am today, and I look up to all of them.

Q:  What have been some of the challenges of high school (or school in general) and how have you overcome them?
Sometimes it’s hard to juggle school and personal life,
but with a good group of friends you can get through anything.

Q:  What do you most look forward to as you finish your last year of high school?
Making new memories is always something I look forward to. I can’t wait until the next adventure with my girls!
