   Scott Decker, age 63, of rural Frankfort, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from heart failure on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

   His funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 15th, at the Bethesda Church, Huron. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, rural Doland.

   Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 14th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with his family present during that time.

   In lieu of flowers, Scott’s family requests memorials be directed to: Community Counseling Services or Byron Bible Camp.

   Scott Wesley Decker was born February 26, 1960, to Wesley and Arlene (Walter) Decker at Huron. He was raised on the family farm near Frankfort.

   Scott attended Doland School graduating in 1978. Scott graduated from Mankato State University with Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. He was a Licensed Professional Counselor at Community Counseling Services in Huron.

   Scott’s caring nature led him to spend many years helping with his parent’s care as they grew older. He developed a special relationship with his father, caring for Wesley until his passing.

   Scott grew up attending the Ebenezer Mennonite Brethren Church. While living in Huron, Scott became a member of Bethesda Church, he also claimed Emmanuel Church of Doland as a home church.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

   Grateful for having shared in his life are his daughter, Abbey; his step-sons, Joshua and Jacob; his brother, Steven “Lefty” (Beth) Decker of Frankfort; his sister, Darcie Decker of Rapid City; his niece, Mandi (Trevor); his nephews, Jesse (Katelyn) and Donnie (Hannah); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Isaac, Titus, Esther, Josiah and Brooklyn.

   Left also to cherish his memory are his aunts, uncles and cousins.
