On Memorial Day Monday, May 28th, 2018 the Clay Kiser Post #92 Legion Hall on Redfield Main Street was filled with local citizens in honor of those who have served. This is the first time the program was held at the American Legion instead of the Redfeild High School Auditorium due to the new school construction. However, seats filled up quickly despite the new location.

The program opened with a welcome speech by Commander Wilfredo Justiniano followed by the Presentation of the Colors by Derek Hansen, Bob Miller, Jim Huckabay, Perry Schmidt, Rita Lunney, Melva Miller and Ted Kimball.

The national anthem was sung by all of those in attendancek, and Bob Roeber gave the opening prayer.

After an interpretive tap dance by the 5th and 6th grade Core Kinetics Dance students named the "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," Afghan War veteran, Sergeant Amber Nickeson, gave a Memorial Day message to those in attendance.
