Redfield FFA Nursery Landscape Team places first at State FFA

The Redfield Nursery Landscape Team took 1st place at the State FFA Convention on April 24th in Brookings, SD. The team had to apply nursery and landscape principles as they impact residential, commercial, and public applications.  The career development event consisted of four areas of study: identification of plants, identification of equipment and supplies, a practicum, and a general knowledge exam.  This year’s team consisted of Dalton Howe-1st place, Alan Masat- 2nd place, Zach Jordan-5th place, Blaine Rothacker-10th place.  STIHL Company is the sponsor of the Nursery Landscape CDE and awarded Dalton Howe with a STIHL MS 291 chainsaw for placing 1st place at the State Contest.
