Students received the opportunity to participate in the 573 Stamp Design Contest sponsored by the school’s local Post Office. Twenty schools were invited to join in on this contest with grades 2nd through 6th participating. There will be one statewide winner from each grade chosen to
have their design printed on a book of stamps made specifically for them. The judging is based on neatness, artistic skill, and originality of the contestant. Students had a choice of using markers, paint, colored pencils, or crayons. With no theme required, students were encouraged to use their minds to be creative and most importantly to have fun in doing so.
The 573 Stamp Design Contest will be judged on Saturday, October 27th in Mitchell. Best of luck to all of the surrounding area schools!
