Postal Service to host public notification on proposed relocation of Doland Post Office

The U.S. Postal Service is hosting a public notification of potential relocation of the Doland Post Office, 226 Humphrey Drive North. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 5p.m. at the City Hall, 106 North 2nd Street East in Doland.
Because of structural issues to the original facility, the Postal Service is seeking a new location in Doland.
The relocation project will consist of procuring a substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office. Retail Services will continue at the Clark, SD, Post Office until the new facility is ready.

U.S. Postal Service representatives will present the relocation proposal during the 5 p.m. meeting.
Written comments on the proposal will be accepted until Sept. 23, 2017 and may be submitted to:
 Greg Shelton,
Real Estate Specialist
United States Postal Service
200 E Kentucky Ave
Denver, CO 80209-9950

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
