Recently, the Spink County Lodge of the South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police approached area schools about replacing “Shop with a Cop” with “Pizza Party with a Cop.” The Doland Elementary School then hosted a student food drive in conjunction with “Pizza Party with a Cop.” The food items were delivered by law enforcement to the Tri-County Good Samaritan Center in Redfield. Students and teachers expressed their thanks to the law enforcement officers for the pizza party, for delivering their food drive items, and for their service to the community. The Doland Elementary School students were joined by Chief Deputy Kathy Adams, Sergeant Jenna Appel, and Deputy Brett Christman from the Spink County Sherriff’s Office, along with Officer Shane Pedersen from the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks.
