A new hair salon has become a reality in Redfield in the basement of Jessica Muellenberg’s home at 818 1/2 West 5th Street. Muellenberg, a licensed cosmetologist who formerly worked at Dakota Tan and Hair on Main Street, has begun her own practice with ‘Hair by Jess.’ The one -chair salon has been in the works for awhile. Muellenberg said her husband and brother helped “set it all up,” and on Wednesday, June 3rd, she held a grand opening. Leo’s Good Food provided vegetable pizza for the grand opening, which was held from 4:30-7p.m. Many locals showed up to show their support and check out the new salon in it’s finished state.
