With Christmas fast approaching, the Aberdeen Marine Corps League has put out "Toys for Tots" boxes in numerous local businesses in Redfield. Local shoppers are encouraged to fill the boxes by Dec. 17, 2017.
"All toys collected are distributed here in Redfield by the staff at Head Start," said Marlin Flint, of Redfield.
According to the official program, the mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.The objective of Toys for Tots is to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas.
