Lights in the night: Redfield takes part in “Let it Shine South Dakota”
Redfield took part in the “Let it Shine South Dakota” event held on the night of May 1st from 9:30-10p.m. Across South Dakota, cities turned on the lights and lit up their football fields, sports stadiums, baseball diamonds, streets, houses, and businesses. In Redfield, the firetrucks and ambulance also took to the streets with their lights on. The purpose of the event was to show support and appreciation for healthcare workers, spread hope to those who are sick, and honor businesses that have closed their doors, people who have lost their jobs, and those who are struggling with mental health.
