Evelyn Fern Booze Grayson

Evelyn Fern Booze was born on November 26, 1923 in Spink County to James E. Booze and Olive H. Emery Booze. Evelyn F. Booze Grayson died on October 20, 2021, at the age of 97 years in Fresno, California.
Evelyn was the 4th born of 12 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Wesley, Bob, Dwayne, Harold, and sisters Kathryn Paradee, Jean West, and Grace Pengilly. She is survived by her sisters Carol Jessen, Patty Weiss, and Shirley Gilbert, her son John W. Stone Jr., and her daughter, Novice Ann Tavarez. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Raymond Tavarez, Debra Wilson and Mark Stone. She is also survived by four great grandchildren: Ashley Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Kaitlin Tavarez and R.J. Tavarez.
Evelyn left Redfield, SD to join her two older sisters in California in 1940. When Evelyn arrived in California, she met John W. Stone Sr., and they married in 1941. To this union they had a son, John W. Stone, Jr. and a daughter Novice Ann Stone. Evelyn lived happily in Fresno for over 75 years. She and her husband, Lloyd O. Grayson, loved helping care for their grandchildren. They brought much joy to her life over the years, and she was very proud of them and their accomplishments. She loved her family and her many little dogs dearly. She led a wonderful and fulfilling life.
Evelyn always loved to read and learn from her Bible, the newspaper, and many history, anthropology books and magazines. Evelyn was a strong Christian and loved her Savior. She had lots of interest and loved visiting museums, art galleries, musicals and plays. Over the years, she enjoyed outings with her daughter, Novice Ann and the many family gatherings
