The Redfield Masonic Building was the place to be Thursday. We had our senses all busy smelling, tasting, hearing, feeling and seeing at our Annual Vender Fair. He hold this event so our residents have this opportunity without leaving the facility. A special thank you goes out to the twenty exhibitors, all of the shoppers and our ESH Volunteers, Ellen Kay Haigh, Carol Carlson, Jill Alkire, Carol Otto, Mary Buchholz and Pam Schmidt. You all made this day go so smoothly.
The Mom and Max Cooking Class this month was teaching the activity director, Lisa Haigh how to make homemade noodles. There were lots of steps but it was worth it, as we sampled some of the finished product in some homemade chicken noodle soup. Several of the ladies reminisced of making homemade noodles, while some were quick to tell us you can buy them in the grocery store already made.
Wednesday Night Marsha Hofer called Thanksgiving Bingo for our evening activity. Friday we treated the Redfield Ministerial Association's with pizza for their monthly meeting in appreciation for all they do for our residents and staff through out the year. Richard Baus celebrated his 94th Birthday with cake and chocolate chip ice cream with family and friends that afternoon.
Our weekend manager Toni Evans called bingo Saturday and the movie for the night was "Run Away Bride". Joe Miller lead the Worship Service for us Sunday afternoon, followed by cookies and coffee in the dining room.
We sure enjoyed the toe tapping accordion music by Bill Schwan from Aberdeen on Monday. Tuesday afternoon we played bingo and hosted a Nail Color Street Stylist Party at 6pm. It's was fun to see all the fun color options.
Today we have a full day with Mass at 9:30am, Assisted Living Resident Council Meeting, the reading of the Redfield Press, music with Dorothy Krog at 3pm and bingo night with the Tulare United Church Youth.
We invite you to Nadine Hull's birthday party November 26th at 3pm. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, our Thanksgiving will be celebrated with the traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Black Friday the Christmas Trees will go up to get ready for our Christmas Open House on December 8th from 2pm-4pm. The Yelduz Shrine Chanters will be singing that afternoon at 2:30pm. Everyone is invited to join us.
