Dorothy Vida Allen of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away Oct. 22nd, 2021 at a local nursing facility. She was born February 25th, 1934 in Spearfish S.D. to Leo and Florence Cooper. Dorothy graduated from Redfield High School in 1952 and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Black Hills State University. She worked as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor at the Salvation Army in Colorado Springs at the time of her retirement. Dorothy was a 4-H leader and loved playing bingo, gardening, camping and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Miller; sons Duane and Russell; brothers Robert and Leo Cooper; and parents Florence and Leo Cooper. Dorothy is survived by her children Roxana Coslett (Bob) of Harper Kansas; Dixie Herring (Jeff) of Colo Spgs, CO; Melissa Saunders of Colo Spgs, CO; and Christopher Allen of Colo Spgs, CO. She had 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Graveside services to be held at Faulkton Cemetery, July 30th at 10 am. Refreshments following at the United Church of Faulkton
