HURON — The 8th annual Classic Car & Bike Cruise Night will be held Tuesday evening, July 11, in Huron.
Anyone with a classic car or motorcycle is invited to join the cruise on Dakota Avenue from 6 until 7 p.m. Then from 7 to 8 p.m., meet in the west parking lot of First United Methodist Church at 2660 Dakota South for a mini-show & shine. There’s no registration or charge. The youth group from First Methodist will be serving hotdogs, chips & pop for a small donation. Proceeds will go to the community Backpack Program.
The Backpack program works in cooperation with local schools to provide at risk children in Huron with nutritious and easy to prepare foods to take home for the weekend when the school lunch program is not available.
The public is invited to stop out for a hotdog, chips and pop and view the cars and bikes on display. Bring a lawn chair and have a great time. The public is asked to park in the east or south parking lots.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held the following evening, July 12th.
