Barbara was born 5/28/53 to Mary Seaman Wilson and Keith Wilson in Faulkton South Dakota.

Barb graduated from Redfield High School in 1971. She attended the University of South Dakota with degrees in music and theatre in 1975. In 1973 she was in residence at the Black Hills Playhouse, working in theatre.

She attended West Virginia University in Morgantown and did coursework in opera and theatre in London, England.

Barb lived in Manhattan for several years and worked in opera and theatre. She did some directing off Broadway, including a directorial time at the Bel Canto Theatre.

Her teaching included time in South Dakota, Nevada, and North Dakota. She enjoyed teaching all types of music, but really liked teaching the little ones.

Barb retired to Aberdeen until her death July 28, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Keith and her ex-husband, Paul DeLange. She is survived by her sister Belva Beckrich, Redfield SD; and brothers David Woolley-Wilson, Bellevue WA, and Richard Wilson, Aberdeen SD.

An informal reception will be held at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 431 Melgaard Road, Aberdeen, SD 57401 on Saturday, September 17, at 2:00 pm.

Her ashes will be spread over four generations of Wilsons and Seamans graves in the Faulkton, SD, cemetery at a later date.
