Active coronavirus cases increase to five in Spink, decrease in Beadle

On Monday, June 29th, the Department of Health recorded one more recovery in Spink County, changing the current number of active cases in Spink County to five as of Monday. Spink County has had 11 cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, June 29th, six of which have recovered, and no deaths. Eight hundred and seventy-five people have tested negative in Spink County. All mass testing at the South Dakota Developmental Center has also been completed.
In neighboring Beadle County, there are 73 active cases as of Monday, June 29th, a large drop from the previous Monday’s 108 active cases. Beadle County has had a total of 523 positive cases, 444 of which have recovered, and six deaths.
Active cases in Brown County have gone up by only one since last week. Brown recorded 21 active cases on Monday morning, June 22nd and 22 active cases Monday morning, June 29th. Brown has had 342 positive cases in all, according to the DOH, 318 of which have recovered as of Monday, June 29th, and two deaths.
