Saturday, June 2nd 39 two man teams took the course at Fisher Grove Country Club to pay tribute to a fellow golfer and a friend to all. That young mans name is Darin Durfee. Darin passed away unexpectedly in October of 2017. The Tournament was a two person scramble but with the challenges of some time up to 45 mile per hour winds it was a scramble just go find the ball after it landed. Despite the wind the tournament was a total success. There were some fantastic prizes for a hole-in-one but with the challenges of the elements none were given away. There was a chance for a new car courtesy of Prostrollo Motors of Huron, $500 gift card, Set of Callaway Irons, and a 55 inch HDTV. Following the two rounds of golf FGCC cooked up Rib Eye steaks for each golfer. The winner of the first flight was Dom Evans and Mike Siebrecht, second flight winner were Britt and Monte Evans. At this time I am unable to get the names of the third flight winners.
