Patrick Allen Yungwirth was born on March 3, 1963, at Redfield, SD, the son of James and Maryjo (Thorson) Yungwirth. He grew up attending school in Redfield and then went on to serve four years in the 147th Artillery Battalion of the SD Army National Guard in Redfield. He began his career as a welder for St. John Welding in Redfield, and then for Dave Clark Machine in Howard. He worked with his brother, Dennis, at the Yungwirth Construction Co. for several years, before beginning a nearly 20 year career with Sioux Steel in Sioux Falls and then Lennox. Patrick was an outstanding welder who excelled in his attention to detail, design layout and problem solving.

Patrick was raised in the catholic faith. He was a member and served on the board of the Lennox American Legion. He had fulfilled his life long dream of owning a Harley-Davidson bike several years ago and joined the Hog Association. Pat was a car guy who loved to work on classic cars. He was most proud of his 1970 AMX Javelin and his International Scout collection. Patrick enjoyed classic 1970's rock music and old movies. He had been married to LeAnn Mae for several years.

Besides his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Yungwirth and a step-brother, Troy Crandall.

Grateful for having shared his life are his siblings: Joe Yungwirth, Indiana, Autumn (Dave) Spletto, Madison and Dennis Yungwirth, Sioux Falls; step-mother, Marcie (Denny) Robertson, Redfield and step-brother, Darwin Crandall, Ramsey, MN; his niece and nephews: Hagen, Elijah, Jaxson, Chris, Robert, April, Grant and Carter and a host of other relatives and friends.
